This gentleman insisted that he didn’t want roll up side walls. He did all the calculations and decided to go with exhaust fans on both ends. I went for a site visit to check it out. It was hotter and more humid than I’m used to AND there was a bunch of electricity being used. I went over the topics of solar gain, passive cooling, light diffusion, uv stabilization root zone and leaf temps vs ambient air temps again. This time he listened with an open mind. Better air flow, lower humidity, less transpiration lower energy bills and he got it. Today those walls are going up and the fans are turning off. There are reasons why we do what we do and don’t do what we don’t do.
